Here are some of the best homemade salsa recipes all in one place. Full of flavor and simple to make recipes that can be canned to save for later!

How Do You Can Salsa In Mason Jars?

Don’t be afraid to get started with canning! In order to can salsa in mason jars start by making sure they are sterilized. Then fill them within ½-inch of the top. Wipe rim clean and seal with the lid and thread the ring onto the jar and tighten until extremely tight.

How Long Can I Store My Canned Salsa?

If your salsa is canned and stored properly, you can expect a shelf life of approximately 12 to 18 months. However older canned salsa is still safe to eat so long as the seal is still in tact, but probably isn’t in great condition flavor wise any more.

What Are The Best Jars For Canning?

The great thing about canning is that you avoid wasting leftover salsa! Glass mason jars are better than metal containers because you can reuse them multiple times. The best jars for canning can be regular or wide-mouth with threaded self-sealing lids. You can get them in various sizes such as: ½ pint, pint, 1½ pint, quart, and ½ gallon sizes.
