The first time I made these Caramel Brulee’s, I opted for whole milk. But I soon found out that using a plant-based version like almond and soy gave the drink more body- especially with the almond milk.

All About Espresso
Espresso is the equivalent of 5 instant coffees, a few ibuprofens, and 48 hours’ worth of sleep in a cup- you feel nothing, and you happily feel nothing for a long time.
Aside from being a massive energy booster, espresso is a happy elixir thanks to caffeine!
The caffeine to hormone mix is a very interesting one, and without diving into too much science, caffeine can affect neuropathways that directly affect your moods and dopamine levels.
Plus with your body already knowing that you’ll respond happily to the sips of coffee (because you’ve repeatedly done that many times before), it triggers dopamine levels to rise and therefore a signal to your brain that coffee makes you happy!
What’s even more fascinating is that espresso is even stronger without the added creams and sugar. So if you’re already enjoying your happy buzz with a dollop of whip cream in the mix, just imagine how you’d feel on espresso alone!

What Is In A Caramel Brulee Latte?
A Caramel Brulee Latte is made up of deliciousness. Actually, it’s made of espresso, caramel, milk, and whipped cream.
What’s in Starbucks Caramel Brulee- The Amazing Caramel Brulee Sauce?
According to the Starbucks website, “Espresso, milk and ice blended with rich caramel brulée sauce, and then topped with whipped cream and more rich sauce ….”
What Does The Caramel Brulee Latte Taste Like?
It’s a sweet espresso drink with a bit of a “smokier” taste, hence the “brulee” name. Brulee in French means burned.
The common French dessert the Creme Brulee is a custard with caramelized brown sugar on top. (Burned brown sugar). This is a fantastic way to get your caffeine boost.
Caramel Brulee Latte Variations
- Trade out your regular caramel sauce for a salted caramel sauce. Or sprinkle a few granules of kosher sea salt on top of your drink.
