What Is Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix In A Jar

Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix in a Jar is a homemade mason jar gift, or storage solution that’s been around for quite some time. It’s a cute, festive, thoughtful homemade gift that one person can give to family or friends.

Typically, it’s a Mason Jar filled with premeasured, layered (sometimes not layered) dry ingredients to make delish Chocolate Chip Cookies. We like using wide mouthed jars.

Then all the recipient has to do is add the “wet ingredients”, like butter, egg and vanilla into a small or large mixing bowl to make the chocolate chip cookie dough and bake them for the best chocolate chip cookies.

It’s super easy to make as a gift for any upcoming holiday season. Once you assemble the layers in the jar, you can add the instructions via a sticker, homemade tag or handwritten note and then add a bow, ribbon or twine and finish it with a Made With Love Sticker for the lid and you’re ready to give the gift away!

Hard Brown Sugar- How to Fix It?

Ahhhhh! Has your brown sugar turned hard, clumpy and difficult to get out? No worries, just toss a chunk of white bread in the jar with the rest of the mix-ins the night before you wish to use the Jar Chocolate Chip Cookies and it’ll soften right up overnight.

Be sure to remove the bread from your mixture before using the cookie mix.

If you fear your brown sugar will harden, but it hasn’t yet, you can add a piece of white bread or a marshmallow to it while it’s in storage. Be sure to remove before making the cookies.
