How To Make A Cranberry Christmas Cocktail
Here are the instructions on making your drink, for more info on ingredients, see the recipe card below.
- Add ice to your Mason Jar and toss in your lime slice.
- Add a shot of Cranberry Vodka and fill the rest of your jar with Cranberry Gingerale.
- Add sprig of rosemary and another lime if desired and enjoy.

Variations and Tips
Add more lime– If you really enjoy lime, feel free to add another squeezed slice or two to your drink.
Add sprite– for another Vodka Cranberry Spritzer variation, cut back a bit on the gingerale and add sprite instead. Or omit the ginger ale altogether and swap it out for Sprite instead. This will really bring out the lime slice you added.
Let your rosemary soak– if you are a big rosemary fan, let your rosemary sprig soak in the cranberry vodka or ginger ale for a bit before making this drink to bring out more of the rosemary flavor.
Add fresh cranberries– You can add fresh cranberries to your drink, or even use frozen cranberries as your ice cubes. And if you’re really in the cranberry mood, trade the gingerale out for blended fresh or frozen cranberries (made like a slushie with water, sprite or gingerale added to help make it the right consistency).
- If making this drink with added cranberries, if you soak them or blend them into the drink it will help extract more flavor of the berries.
- Muddle your lime before adding in any of the other ingredients for more lime juice flavor.

Can You Make This Without Alcohol?
Sure you! If you’re looking to make a kid-friendly version or Cranberry Christmas Mocktail, we suggest omitting the vodka and enjoying the drink as is. You can also substitute the gingerale for Cranberry Sprite if your guests would prefer that flavor as well.
If you’re looking for another mocktail drink recipe, we suggest checking out our Winter Wonderland Mocktail. We made it during the Thanksgiving holiday time and both kids and adults raved over it!
Can You Use A Different Spirit?
Absolutely! If vodka isn’t your preference, you can use whatever spirit you have on hand. We’ve never tried it, but other readers have shared that tequila was a huge hit with this drink, especially with the lime slices.
Others have shared they enjoyed this with a light or white rum as well.
Can I Skip The Rosemary?
Sure thing. If you aren’t a huge rosemary fan, feel free to omit it.

Can This Be Made Ahead Of Time?
It can! Just be careful of when you add the ice cubes as they’ll melt. But if you wanted to make a big batch in a Half Gallon Mason Jar and then serve from that later you could. Just omit ice and increase your ingredients as necesary.
Pour ice cubes into individual jars that you’re serving drinks in to keep everyone’s cocktails nice and chilly.
You may find that making this ahead of time brings out even more flavors. Give it a try when you have a chance.
