How To Make Halloween Eyeball Punch

You’re going to love the ease of this simple punch recipe! It proves that making a fun recipe doesn’t have to be hard to do at all!

  1. Combine the Fanta soda with the cherry juice in a bowl.
  2. Squeeze in the lemon juice.
  3. Decorate the glass with some red food coloring, and add ice and the eyeballs.
  4. Pour in the punch, and make sure to add a straw with an eyeball on it!

Can what else can I use besides the red gel food coloring?

If you don’t have the food coloring, anything red and sweet will work with this great drink. You can add jello or even add some whipped cream that you dye red with Kool-Aid powder!

Helpful Tips

  • The biggest thing to remember when making this punch recipe is that you don’t want to add ice to the punch bowl. This will make it watered down and cause the flavor to not be as strong.
  • Add the ice to everyone’s individual cups so that it stays fresh and delicious.
  • If you can’t find the candy eyeballs in the grocery store, you can use lychee eyeballs.
  • Don’t forget to put your straw through your candy eyeball for a real spooky effect. If you don’t want to use your straw, you can use cocktail sticks or bamboo skewers.
  • You can ditch the individual drinks and make a large punch bowl of this drink for your Halloween celebration.
  • For a spooky effect, serve over dry ice with your bloody eyeballs to really get in the spooky spirit of the holiday.

Recipe Variations

Looking for a few easy variations? Here are some ideas to try!

Change the soda – Is there a different red soda that you like? Give it a try!

Use another jelly body part – I’ve seen fingers that would be fun to add!

Wanting to make the punch a bit more citrus-flavored? You can easily add a little bit of Sprite to the mixture!

Don’t like fanta? If you don’t like Fanta Orange soda, you can use orange juice instead.

Swap out juices- You can use other juices that you like, like cranberry juice, lime juice, lemon juice, grapefruit juice, etc. You can also use lemon lime soda, ginger ale, etc.

Turn these into spooky cocktails- Make this an adults only 21+ years and older cocktail by adding some vodka or spiced rum. Either would be the perfect addition. If you like the fruity flavors, add some peach schnapps for another tasty flavor.

FAQ

Can I make this Halloween punch in advance?

Yes, you can! Just add the ingredients into a punch bowl and store it in the fridge. When you’re ready to serve, just stir it first.

Can you freeze this punch?

If you want to freeze some of this punch recipe, pour it into ice cube trays and put it into the freezer. You can then pop them out and use them as “ice cubes” in your drink and not have to worry about it watering your punch recipe down.

What type of glasses do you serve this punch in?

We like serving it in mason jars, of course! The wide mouth makes it perfect for pouring in and drinking out of without making a mess.

You can also serve these in martini glasses, regular cocktail glasses, high ballers, etc and feel free to serve in a glass pitcher or something else.

Storage

I think that this punch recipe is best served right when you make it. If you need to store it, cover it and keep it chilled in the fridge.

We don’t recommend trying to keep this Halloween eyeball drink longer than the day you make it. Everything is best when you first make it, especially if you add ice. You don’t want a watered down drink!
