How To Make The Witches Brew Punch

You are only a few short steps away from creating this non-alcoholic witch's brew.

  1. Get your large stock pot and boil 2 cups of water. Or you could use your tea kettle for this.
  2. Next up, get a pitcher and add the blue raspberry gelatin and one cup of granulated sugar.
  3. Once your water is boiled, add the hot water to your gelatin and sugar and mix until completely dissolved.
  4. Once gelatin and sugar have dissolved you can then add the pineapple juice and ginger ale to the pitcher. Or if you are not using ginger ale this is when you would add the lemon-lime soft drink.

There you have it, your very own witches brew mocktail recipe. Serve over some ice and enjoy your creation.

All About Gelatin

You may be thinking that it is a strange ingredient to add gelatin to this witches brew drink recipe but not only does it help with the color and flavor, but gelatin is also a source of protein. Who knew?

♻️ Recipe Variations

Want to make an adult version of this recipe? Adding one cup of vodka to the punch will be a big hit. Add when you are at the stage of adding pineapple juice and ginger ale. Enjoy this Witches Brew Cocktail!

Don’t want to use ginger ale? You can use a lemon-lime soft drink instead. This will add more of a lime flavor to this punch. You could also add a splash of orange juice or grape soda for a fun mix.

Want to add some fruit to the witch's brew? A great addition would be something like blueberries as they would really work well.

Do you like the idea of making the witch's brew even sweeter? Add some gummy worms or other Halloween-themed sweets to your finished mocktail. Things like lime sherbet could also be a great option. You could also add some Halloween sprinkles on top of the punch if you wish.

Want to add a touch of hocus pocus to your witch's brew? If you want a party tip then add a little dry ice to add a bit of spooky fun to this fun party drink.

💡 Tips & Tricks

  • Make sure the sugar and gelatin are completely dissolved before adding any of the other ingredients.
  • If you are wanting to serve this Witches Brew in a large cauldron, and why wouldn’t you, make sure you use one that doesn’t have holes in the bottom. However, the witch's brew also looks fantastic served in a large bowl as well as a centerpiece.

Storage

This is a great recipe to make ahead of time and will store perfectly in the refrigerator. Like with many fun Halloween drinks and food they may be specifically for a party. After some time, you may notice the carbonation diminishing but it is still safe to drink and delicious. Add leftovers to a sealed mason jar or airtight container for up to five days.

? FAQ

Can you make this witches' brew recipe be made ahead of time?

Yes, it can be. Just get to the stage just before serving and store it in the refrigerator. Don’t add the ice until you are ready to serve.

Can this be made with sparkling water or club soda instead of ginger ale or a lemon-lime soft drink?

We don’t see why you couldn’t use sparkling water that you could pick up at your local store for this Witches Brew Drink. However, the ginger ale or lemon-lime soft drink alternative does add to the flavor of the kid-friendly witches brew recipe.
