Helpful Tips

Here are some tips and tricks to help you make the best syrup from scratch recipe at home:

  • Make sure that the heat isn’t too high or it will burn the syrup. Stir continuously, and don’t overcook to enjoy the best flavor. The overcooked syrup will not taste good.
  • Decide the consistency of syrup you want and then cool it accordingly. For thicker syrup, cool it for more time, and for a thinner consistency, serve it after 2-3 minutes of removing it from the flame.
  • Don’t remove the mixture from heat until all the regular sugar melts and you get a clean syrup.
  • You can use light brown sugar or dark brown sugar. Experiment using one the first time and the other the next time you make syrup and see which you prefer.
