What Does A Hot Buttered Rum Taste Like?

It's literally like a warm hug in a glass. It's sweet and delicious, creamy and smooth. The added topping of whipped cream (which is optional) gives it an extra layer of fun as well.

Some describe it as a butterscotch type taste or a hint light caramel.

Variations

Add more toppings - Why not? Sprinkling on some shaved chocolate or even some mini chocolate chips could be a great idea for more sweetness.

Make a different flavor - Making a Butterscotch Hot Buttered Rum sounds pretty good! Just drizzle on a bit of syrup on top and create a new taste.

Change up the garnish - Cinnamon is great but you can also do nutmeg, brown sugar, or even a mixture of cinnamon and sugar right on top.

Add syrups- Try a dash or two of our Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup or our DIY Apple Crisp Syrup.
