How Long Do Homemade Gummy Bears Last?

From the time you make them, they’re good for up to 5 days. However, let’s be honest. We highly doubt that they’re going to last that long!

Just be sure to store them in an airtight container, like a Mason Jar, to keep them as fresh as possible.

How Do You Increase The Shelf Life Of Homemade Gummies?

It is possible to extend the shelf life of gummies by keeping them in an airtight container and storing them in the fridge.

What Happens If You Freeze Gummy Bears?

In our opinion, frozen gummy bears are awesome. They’re a harder texture because they’re frozen, but once you pop them in your mouth, they soften up quickly.

Frozen gummy bears are also super fun to add to ice cream too. Feel free to add these pineapple gummy bears to any of our homemade ice cream flavors we currently have and those we will be adding. Can You Change Up The Flavor Of These Gummies?

Yes, you can! Since this is such a simple recipe, there’s no reason that you can’t alter it a bit in the future. There are many different flavors of gelatin that can easily be used, just as you can change up the fruit type.

Strawberry gummy bears are one of the first ones that come to our minds, but that’s just because we are strawberry-obsessed. And we’ve made some fantastic Citrus Gummy Bears that many readers adore, be sure to check them out here.

What Are The Benefits Of Pineapple?

Pineapple is not only delicious, but it provides some great health benefits, too. Just in case you were on the fence about adding more pineapple to your daily diet, here are some reasons why eating pineapple can be beneficial.

  • Pineapple is a fruit that is loaded with Vitamin C. This is a great way to get some extra needed vitamins during cold and flu season.
  • There are studies that show pineapple can help fight off harmful infections.
  • Pineapple is a a great fruit choose to eat when you’re trying to lose weight. It’s low in calories and curbs sugar cravings with natural sweetness instead of processed sugars.
  • Since pineapple has a high level of Vitamin C, this can be a boost to your overall skin appearance, too!

Why Are My Homemade Gummy Bears Sticky?

If you feel like you need to dry your gummy bears out a bit or if they’re a little tacky or sticky, you certainly can dry them out. All you have to do is spread them out on a paper towel on a clean surface and lightly sprinkle with cornstarch.

The cornstarch will be absorbed by the gummy bears and will become less tacky to the touch. You may need to repeat this a few times before they become the desired texture. Please don’t dump too much on at a time or you can discolor and mess up your homemade gummy bears.
