All the packs of the Espresso you’re looking for, with a touch of creaminess from the Homemade Oat Milk and a slight bit of sweetness from your brown sugar.
It took us a bit to understand the craze over this drink as we are almond milk drinkers in our house (for the most part) due to Cow’s Milk sensitivities. However, once we tried this recipe with the Homemade Oat’s Milk, we were hooked!

How To Make An Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso
- Add brown sugar and water to your saucepan on medium-high heat. Bring it to a boil and let sit for 5 minutes so it becomes a syrup.
- Remove it from heat and set aside. Make espresso coffee.
- Add espresso and ice to shaker bottle and shake for 30 seconds.
- Fill Mason Jar with ice, add homemade oat milk and then your shaken espresso.
- Stir in 1-2 Tablespoons of brown sugar syrup to (to taste) and enjoy your new drink.
What Is A Shaken Espresso?
Great question, but this one is easy y’all. It’s literally just what it sounds like. An espresso, shaken in a shaker cup with ice. This Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Espresso is just as easy to make and so incredibly yummy.
Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso Variations
- Add more brown sugar (or less)- add the brown sugar to your taste
- Trade out brown sugar for other sweetener- try white sugar, maple syrup, agave, honey or stevia.
- Use a different milk- while we recommend oat milk in this recipe, you can substitute this for almond milk, pea milk, coconut milk or cow’s milk.
- Add a dash of this or tha- try a dash of vanilla or vanilla extract, cinnamon or nutmeg for another interesting boost of flavor. For a real treat add a dash of homemade Pumpkin Spice or Pumpkin Syrup.

It’s slightly sweet and very creamy with the use of oatmilk. If you need something sweeter, add a bit more brown sugar.

Sure can! Pick whatever milk you like or have on hand. It will ultimately change the flavor, and maybe even texture, but we are sure it will be good.
