How To Make The Best Pumpkin Parfait Dessert

  1. In a large bowl, whisk pumpkin with cinnamon and cardamom.
  2. Layer yogurt then pumpkin and repeat this until jar is full.
  3. Mix together 2 tablespoons syrup with cranberry nut granola. Mix well and add topping to the jar.
  4. Place in fridge until ready to serve.

Pumpkin is a really nutritious thing to enjoy. Pumpkin is great for builing up your immune system, which is especially perfect for the fall.

Pumpkin is packed with iron, folate, Vitamin C and E, all which help to speed up wound healing and boosting immunity to fight off those fall season germs.

Pumpkin also has a good amount of beta carotene, which is a great natural antibiotic.

What Is A Parfait

The word Parfait is French for perfect. Parfaits are layered desserts but can even be served as breakfast items occasionally. It all depends on what you put in your layers.

Parfait Variations

  • Add some homemade pumpkin syrup to your parfait mixture for a real twist. (Our recipe coming soon!)
  • Want to add another awesome layer to this parfait? Crumble up a few pumpkin spice cookies and add them as their own layer in between your pumpkin puree and yogurt layers.
  • Want a Pumpkin Pie Parfait Add layers of crushed graham cracker to bring the full pie flavor to the jars.
  • Change up your granola– Add in mini chocolate chips
  • Trade out yogurt– instead of plain yogurt, try a pumpkin flavored yogurt or a Greek yogurt when you’re looking to increase protein and probiotics.
  • Toss the yogurt and grab some whipped topping and vanilla extract whipped together and use them as your yogurt layer instead.
  • Trade the Pumpkin Puree for some pumpkin spice pudding.
  • Swap Maple Syrup– try regular white sugar, brown sugar, honey, agave, or Stevia.

  • Don’t worry about making this a precise layer or beautiful creation, that’s the great thing about parfaits, they don’t have to look perfect, they just have to taste it!
  • Want to give these as edible gifts, top with your lid and wrap a beautiful ribbon around and keep regrigerated until time to give to your recipient. Try to gift within the same day.
  • Add some candy corn with your granola to really bring some fall flavor.
  • Add some homemade pumpkin pie spice to your puree layer to really enhance the flavor.

It all depends on what you put in your layers. This Homemade Pumpkin Parfait is not the healthiest of treats, but it sure is delicious.

A creamy, fall flavored pumpkin dessert. This easy recipe only uses 6 ingredients and will keep you full and satisfied.

Ingredients

  • 1 - 20 oz can pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 3 cups plain yogurt
  • 1 cup cranberry nut granola
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom
  • 2 tablespoons syrup

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl whisk pumpkin with cinnamon and cardamom.
  2. Layer yogurt then pumpkin and repeat this until jar is full.
