Recipe Variations

Can I make a decaffeinated version? Absolutely. Just use decaf coffee instead and then follow the recipe as stated. This means that you can make it kid-friendly as well because let’s face it, kids already have enough energy.

Don’t have a blender? It does make things easier to have a blender but you could improvise with a hand blender. In this case, it may be better to use crushed ice instead of cubes.

Fancy not using coffee at all? You could make a mocha instead. Substitute the coffee for extra milk and perhaps even add a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This will intensify the chocolate flavor. Perfect if you have a sweet tooth. You can even get some mocha drizzle.

Want to make it more creamy? Instead of using all whole milk you can use half and half with heavy cream, or just use heavy cream instead.

Tips & Tricks

  • It is important to ensure that you combine all of the ingredients to help ensure that the flavors are there.
  • While Starbucks will use a particular Italian roast blend please don’t feel the pressure to use the same. You can use Instant coffee or whatever you prefer. As long as the coffee is brewed and chilled you are good to go.
  • A great tip is to mix all ingredients first before adding the ice. It helps to combine the flavors and recreate this homemade frappuccino.
  • Make sure the coffee is thoroughly chilled before starting this recipe.
  • If you haven’t got any vanilla creamer you could add some vanilla extract to some cream.
  • Add some extra ice cubes when serving to keep it cool. The perfect iced coffee.
  • Espresso is perfect for this recipe but if you don’t have an espresso machine just make sure you make a strong coffee.

FAQ

Is the S’mores Frappe coming back in 2022?

We have good news and bad news. The bad news is you won’t be able to buy this Starbucks drink from your local store anytime soon, but the good news is that you can make a yummy version at home. This S’mores Frappucino recipe is easy to make and tastes just as good, if not better!

What’s in a S’mores Frappuccino?

The Starbucks version is usually a limited time drink and original recipe starts with marshmallow-infused whipped cream and milk chocolate sauce that is placed at the bottom of the cup. The drink, which is poured on top of that, is a blend of vanilla syrup, coffee, and ice.

The drink is then topped with more marshmallow whipped cream and then a sprinkling of graham crackers crumbs. This version pretty much has exactly the same ingredients and helps you to recreate your own homemade s’mores frappuccino.

Can you make this copycat Starbucks s’mores frappe dairy free?

You can make it dairy free by using alternative kinds of milk. There are so many great options out there that are plant-based or dairy alternatives. You could even look to try flavored dairy-free milk such as oat milk or chocolate flavored. This will add a different flavor but it will still be delicious.
