How To Make The Strawberry Gummy Candy
This is the full recipe to make the Strawberry Gummies.Â
- Gather all of your ingredients together and then prepare your chosen baking dish with parchment paper. Put the baking dish aside until ready to use.
- Measure ½ cup of the water into a mixing. You will then need to add the gelatin on top. Take your time to mix slowly and let it sit for five minutes.
- While the gelatin has been set aside to rest, you can heat the other 3/4 cup of water and add the sugar. Heat up on a medium heat in the saucepan. Bring to a boil and make sure you keep stirring consistently.
- Add the gelatin mixture to the saucepan and then reduce the heat. Allow the mixture to cook for 5 minutes. You will still need to stir this consistently. Just not constantly. Every 45 seconds move the mixture to combine.
- You can then remove the mixture from the heat and stir in the strawberry extract and food coloring. Add as much food coloring as you desire to get the best color you want.
- Pour the strawberry gummy mixture into the prepared baking dish. Cover with plastic wrap and then refrigerate for 3-4 hours or until firm.
- Remove the candy from the baking dish. You can do this by flipping over the baking dish onto a clean surface that has been sprinkled with granulated sugar. Cut the candy into squares and fully coat them in sugar.
- Let the finished candies sit uncovered at room temperature until dry. You will need to turn them over every 30 minutes for the next hour or 2 until they manage to completely dry out.
- They are then ready to enjoy. You can serve them straight away or store them in a sealed mason jar. You may want to use parchment paper between layers to avoid them sticking together. Enjoy!

FAQ
The best way to use real strawberries is to stew them down and reduce them to a coulis or sauce. You can then add them as you would the strawberry extract.Â
No, you don’t need to, but the color does help visually. Instead of artificial colors you could look at natural food dyes or use strawberries instead as that will naturally add the red color.Â
